There are several routes to choose between Temples 38 and 39. Has anyone done Route C from Tosa-Shimizu city (Map book page 33)? It looks the shortest, although there is no food and water available. We won't be there for a few weeks yet, but are looking through the map book at possible combinations of route and accommodation.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I always go around the western side of the peninsula because i like to visit Tsukiyama Shrine and say hello for Oliver Statler (he mentioned it in 'Japanese Pilgrimage').

But, i've never taken either of the two 'C' or 'D' routes listed on pgs 33 & 34. I love the walk on the west side; it's much less populated and, IMO, the most rural part of the entire walk. It's one of my favorite sections of the walk.
