I have made the Ehime part this November by Bike.
No problems, but I have taken a taxi between Oda and Kumakogen (44). The road 380 is very dangerous before the Mayumi tunnel.
If your bicycle is foldable, you can ask at the tourism office near the river to call for a cab.
It cost me 5000 Yens from Oda to Daihoji.
